I had a wonderful experience at Hotel Royal in New Orleans. The location is absolutely perfect — right on Royal Street in the heart of the French Quarter, which made it super easy to walk to great restaurants, shops, and historic sites. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Especially Tina, who kindly helped us upgrade our room mid way through the stay. She made check-in a breeze and offered great recommendations for local spots to check out. You can really tell they care about making your stay enjoyable. The room was charming and clean, and the bed was incredibly comfortable, which made coming back to rest after a day of exploring so relaxing. I also appreciated having a Smart TV in the room — it was great to be able to wind down with some Netflix at night. Overall, I’d highly recommend Hotel Royal if you're looking for a comfortable, convenient, and welcoming place to stay in New Orleans.
We had an absolutely wonderful time. Perfect location for all things NOLA. The front desk staff gets an A+. PERRY IS SO GREAT!. I just cant say enough about the cool building and room. Balcony view was worth it.
Staying at Hotel Royal felt like stepping back into the 1700s in the best way. There’s no elevator, which honestly adds to the charm and experience walking the stairs made me slow down and truly embrace the lifestyle of the time.
Really loved our stay here, great staff, great location. Love Royal street, the hotel is very old and historic so take that into account when booking. If youre looking for the newest everything this isn't your hotel. But if you want authentic, historic, French quarter vibes then this is your place. Booked a king balcony room and loved it.
Lots of fun if you want to stay in a piece of history! Great bathroom, comfortable bed. The coffee maker and coffee int eh rooms is the worst I have ever experienced, but that doesn't matter to me- get out and sight see! They were happy to store our bags after check out when we had time to kill. Just lovely friendly helpful staff. A definite recommend. Prepare for stairs, a couple flights.
We stayed at Hotel Royal for one night and really enjoyed it! We picked this hotel partly because of the great location and partly because it was featured in The Originals, which made it even more fun. The location was perfect and we were able to walk everywhere all weekend. The staff we met were all super friendly and helpful, which made our stay even better. We booked a suite with a balcony and thought the price was very reasonable for what we got. Overall, it was a great experience and we’d definitely stay here again!
If you are looking to stay at an authticlally old building in the heart of the French Quarter then this is the place for you! It has no elevators with multiple stairs and directions to your room, but it does have AC and when you get in your room, it has beautiful hardwood floors and some original looking accents. The room was clean and quaint with a separate sitting room that was not really furnished. The balcony is shared with the room next door which was unexpected but not unpleasant. Yes the water pressure is not good at all in the showers (super old building remember) and there is no room service so make sure to bring water and snacks yourself. All the front desk staff was super nice and helpful. As for noise, it is noisy! You can hear everything around you from movements in the hall and neighboring room as if the steps were in your own room and I was street facing and could hear talking, music, the steamboat organ and the cathedral clock chimes. I did not mind any of it for my 4 night stay but it could possibly wear thin for a longer term stay. That being said its in the French Quarter, a block away from Bourbon street so noise was a given. All in all I really enjoyed my experience at this hotel!
The staff was always helpful, inviting and engaging. Its an old historic building so expect old plumbing, loud wood flooring, etc. It was only a 2 block walk in any direction to get to all the action; shopping, bars, food.. no need for transportation. The coffee shop "CC" across the street was a nice stop every morning.
I really enjoyed my stay at this cozy hotel, the customer service was amazing, room was clean and cute,the historical features of it made me feel the New Orleans experience. I can’t wait to return-I highly recommend Hotel Royal.
Such a cute place! Neil was super helpful and added such a personal touch that put us at ease knowing we were gonna be taken care of for our stay! Neil gave us tips where to park and what traffic would be like in the morning since there's a school close. Perry helped us bring our bags in and Meycy was so sweet helping us check out! Great vibes all around.
